Will a igniter unit off an 89 honda accord fit an 87 honda accord?
I have an igniter unit off an 89 accord and I was wondering if it would fit an 87 honda accord. A: my guess would be that it does because they made accords in a series. I have a 90, and all the ones from 90 through 93 are pretty much the same. I think the 89 and 87 ones are in the same series. So a 1990 one would probably not work, but I think a 1989 one is more likely to work. If you go to an autoparts store (try autozone.com or something like that you can check). if the same igniter is specified for more than one year it is more likely to be ok.
