Will AAFC change its name to Agriculture and Agri-Food and Fibre Canada?
We appreciate the symbolic nature of adding the word “fibre” to our current departmental name. AAFC is indeed involved in initiatives that go beyond food and feed; however, departmental name changes are a machinery-of-government issue and fall within the purview of the Prime Minister.
