Will aaron rodgers be better than alex smith?

To be fair to Smith, he really never had much of a shot going through 4 different offensive coordinators in 4 years, and San Francisco’s o-line and recievers have been downright terrible since Smith got there; as you’ll recall, both Trent Dilfer and Shaun Hill got injured last season as well due to the line’s inability to protect them. And the thing about him having small hands is just a rumor, his hands are actually normal sized, though its not uncommon for QBs to have problems holding on to the ball when they are getting hit from every direction multiple times a game. That all being said, I think Aaron Rogers will be much more successful than Alex Smith, though I think their skill levels are comparable (if they weren’t, there wouldn’t have been such a controversy for the 9ers as to who to take with the #1 pick). However, Rogers has had a lot more time to sit back and learn from a HOFer like Brett Favre rather than be thrust into the fire from the beginning. Rogers’ supporting cast is

It will be pretty easy for Aaron Rodgers to be better than Alex Smith. With the exception of 2006, which was pretty average really, 16 TD’s and 16 INT’s, the bar has been set pretty low. Smith is worse than David Carr, both statistically, and win-loss wise too. Also, Rodgers is starting for a team with tons of young talent. They were 13-3 last year, whereas Smith’s first year as a starter was for a team that had the NO.1 overall pick. The talent level is better, and he will have a clean slate to start with on a talented team. It looks like Smith is a flop, below average at best. If Rodgers is a .500 or slightly better QB, he will be more successful.
