Will angel fish survive in a 10 gallon tank?

Yes they can surely survive in a 10 gallon tank.

Hi there, Eden Penoyer

All angel fish grow around 4″ but that doesn’t include the fins. With the fins they can be a foot tall and and 10 inches long.

You can’t keep one in a ten gallon tank but some stories will say anything to make sale.

Eden,

Typically one hears the rule of thumb that the tank should have a gallon per inch of fish.  While this might sometimes be true, this isn’t always the case.  That is mainly for slim bodied fish.  For an angel fish, the tank should be at least 18 in. tall and hold around 30 gallons.  A 10 gallon tank is just not going to be enough.

As the owner of a 10 gallon tank, an angelfish wouldn’t have the room it needs to survive. I have a 1.5 inch molly and he almost needs more room. Again I also reiterate the 1″ of fish per gallon excluding bottom feeders.
