yes, Biodiesel will run in ANY diesel engine. After about a month you will need to change your fuel filter because biodiesel acts as a detergent and will clean out the deposits left from regular diesel fuel. After the initial filter change, you will be fine. WVO (Waste Vegetable Oil) is very different from biodiesel. It will also run in any diesel engine, but your engine is not designed for it and will therefore have worse gas mileage, less power, and drastically reduce the life of your engine. Biodiesel is vegetable oil that has gone through a chemical refining process and will yield better gas mileage and power than petroleum diesel. Do keep in mind that any renewable oil will gel before petroleum, so if you are in a cold climated area you will need to mix your biodiesel with an anti-gel of some type or modify your vehicle with a warmer.
