Will Christians ever seriously entertain the notion of a third gender definition?
There are people who are intersex. They’re the people who are often incorrectly referred to as hermaphrodites. Some have the sexual organs of both genders, and others have hormonal imbalances that cause them to have the characteristics of the sex that doesn’t match their genitalia. I feel sorry that these people have to live in a society that expects you to either be a male or a female. They have to choose which sex they are just so they can fill out paper work and use public restrooms, even if they aren’t sure of what they want to be or don’t want to be either one. I’m not sure what you’re getting at with Christians, though. I have a feeling that you might be referring to their opposition to things like homosexuality and transexualism. Transexualism probably falls somewhere within the intersex spectrum and homosexuality might.
