Will dramamine help prevent vomiting from food poisoning?
Ok – first dramamine will not stop vomiting if you’re suffering from food poisoning. It’s a prevention medicine for nausea caused by motion sickness and some side effects of medications only. It’s really a nausea preventer vs. a vomiting preventer. Food poisoning can involve vomiting, diarrhea, or both. It all depends on where the bacteria/virus decides to land and cause it’s wrath. Vomiting is very frightening and horrible to experience. Unfortunately it’s the stomach’s way of cleansing itself. There are medications that can be prescribed to stop vomiting but often only work for awhile – if the vomiting needs to occur, the body will make it do so.
