Will Goldwind Rule the Wind World?
The still somewhat anonymous Chinese company is coming to the U.S. with direct-drive turbines that will ruffle feathers. Earlier this year, when Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology, one of the five biggest wind turbine manufacturers in the world, set up subsidiary Goldwind USA in Chicago, it did not simply send corporate minions to do things the way they are done in China.
