Will Ian Poulter shock again with his choice of golf apparel at the Barclays Scottish Open?
Published: 22 June 2009English golfer Ian Poulter has said he is to theme his golf fashion at the Barclays Scottish Open around the traditional Scottish print, tartan. Speaking to the Scottish Evening Times, Poulter stated he has designed four new tartans especially for hitting the golf course. “They are all authentic tartans, approved by the Scottish Tartans Authority, and it will be great to wear them. Hopefully, I’ll get a good reaction,” the sportsman said. The newspaper notes that in the golf fashion stakes, Poulter’s rival will be John Daly, another golfer famed for his choice of golf clothing. Spokesman for the European Tour Peter Adams said that this year’s Scottish Open would boast the best-ever field. As well as being a professional golfer, Ian Poulter is a well-known designer of golf clothing. He says his aim is to create high-quality, funky and unique golf apparel, commenting that playing well and looking good go hand in hand. © Copyright News brought to you by Glenmuir, id
