Although clawed by critics, the three previous fantasy horror adventures have been stylish, enjoyable and well-received. Fans will be pleased to hear that Screen Gems is now moving ahead on Underworld 4 with a view to a release date of January 21, 2011. Shock Till You Drop reports that the movie will be shot in 3D, like Resident Evil: Afterlife. All three previous movies have done well at the box office. Underworld, back in 2003, made $96m on a $22m budget; Underworld: Evolution made $111m on a $45m budget in 2003; and this year’s prequel Underworld: Rise of the Lycans made $91million on a $35m budget. Len Wiseman directed the first two, in which his wife Kate Beckinsale starred as vampire Selene, with Patrick Tatopoulos taking the reins on Rise of the Lycan
