Will military members at bases nominated/selected for closure receive assignment consideration for Join Spouse/Exceptional Family Member Program?
For any assignment, the Air Force will identify and place members eligible for these programs. If servicemembers request a Join Spouse assignment, they will receive consideration for the Join Spouse Tour as their first choice above other considerations. Each spouse will be typically offered two choices. Those assignments are prioritized because of the savings to the Air Force. For the Exceptional Family Member Program, personnel will go through the normal procedures. If they have a case, then the paperwork will be completed to ascertain eligibility for assignment.
