Will my tomotoes and butternut squash grow?

it works out better with tomato plants to plant them indoors first, grow them to about 3 inches high and then transplant to larger pots. I’ve had good luck doing it the wrong way, that is dumping all the seeds in one pot, then when the plants are 3 inches high, soak them in water, transplant to larger pots and allow to get bigger before putting outside. That keeps the cold rain off them and keeps them from being beaten down. Believe it or not, this spring I’ve grown 53 tomato plants that way.
