Will neutering my dog prevent his bad habbits or behaviour?

Neutering is not a magical cure for bad behaviour. And since your dog has already developed his marking habit, neutering probably won’t stop it, since it is already a habit. Neutering *can* prevent the onset of marking behaviour if done early enough in puppies (before they start to mark) but since your dog has already developed the bad habit, neutering isn’t going to “cure” it. You’re dog sounds bored and like he needs more discipline. The crate training might help, so will more exercise, but at this point, he sounds like he needs a professional trainer to work with your family and your dog. You will have to work him up to 6 hours a day in the crate over a few weeks. It will take training to get him to be calm for a long period of time in his crate. you can’t just pop him in there on next Monday morning and come back 6 hours later. Crating an unprepared dog can be dangerous as they could get very nervous and hurt themselves trying to escape. It is a big myth that neutering calms dogs d
