No, HD-DVD is dead and they will not be releasing movies for this format. That said for a short time you will see new movies on HD-DVD because the studios had the deal in the works before Blue-Ray won the HD format war, Like Beowulf just came out on DVD and HD-DVD. So you will have to get standard DVDs and let your player upscale them or for HD get a Blue-Ray player, the PS3 is a great Blue-Ray player and you can justify it by saying you wanted the game system.
