Will plecos eat tropical flake food?
No, he won’t get enough food from the tropical flake. However, many of our fish are in flight from around the world for 3-4 days and survive without food. Yours should be fine. We give pieces of broccoli daily from our freezer. We thaw them under water first. Let them float in the top of your tank for up to 5 hours safely. The reason pet stores do this is most fish we purchase are from fish hatcheries that feed truckloads of vegetables, not flakes.
