It will work if you are using HDMI connection. IT WILL NOT WORK IF YOU ARE NOT USING HDMI! Disreagard anyone who automatically says yes or says yes and gives “region free” as a reason. Being region free does not fix the PAL/NTSC compatibility problem if you aren’t using HDMI. Two things are required for a Playstation game to work in multiple regions: It must have no region coding (which all PS3 games accomplish) and THE GAME MUST SUPPORT THE SD VIDEO FORMAT (which is PAL or NTSC). Most PS3 games nowadays are developed to support both and many people mistake this for region free being the reason. There are some games that were not developed for use with both. GTA 4 IS ONE OF THESE GAMES! You must buy the PAL version only, either in Australia or Europe or on a European version of Amazon.
