Will Sonia appoint herself as Party President of Congress party again ?
That is a no brainer. Of course Sonia will be the Congress party president again and again till she decides Rahul is ready to take over. If he is lucky Rahul will escape assassination (the Gandhi’s have an unfortunate tendency to stick their fingers in the wrong places and get themselves assassinated) and be the Congress party president till ripe old age and hand over the helm to his junior. If Rahul Gandhi is not that fortunate then we have Ms. Priyanka Vadhra to fill the gap till the juniors are ready to take over. Welcome to dynasty politics. The Indian Congress party just can’t have enough of their kings, queens, princes and princesses belonging to the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty. On the other hand, they might try to give the impression of democracy within the party and get one of their numerous stooges elected. But in the end all decisions will be made at 10 Janpath Road. Make no mistake, whoever is the puppet on the throne, the puppet master will be from our own first family of politics
