Will South Gippsland Water connect to the desalination plant?

0

The Victorian Government announced on 29 May 2009 that it will connect Wonthaggi, Inverloch and Cape Patterson to the desalination plant. However, the towns’ main water supply will continue to be the Lance Creek storage system. In very dry years South Gippsland Water will be able to take desalinated water when required and ensure ongoing security of supply. The connection will help to ensure that Wonthaggi, Inverloch and Cape Patterson do not run out of water. Read the Minister for Water media release – 29 May 2009.
