Yes, the agent will continue to function as a firewall and IDS even when the UCSF Sygate Management Server is taken offline. However, the Sygate Agent on your computer will no longer receive any updates and cannot prevent newer types of attacks. UCSF ITS highly recommends migrating to the new firewall/IDS service offering found on our Security Products and Services page.
