Because the type of diamond employed is Amorphous Diamond instead of crystalline diamond, it has a much more flexible molecular structure, which greatly impedes any type of delamination or removal. Further, the amorphous diamond is actually infused into the upper layers of the core, so it is more than just a surface coating. It actually integrates into the core itself.
