Will the BackOFF Brake Light module work with BMW ABS?
The BackOFF Brake Light Module can cause the brake fault indicator to light up on some models of BMW motorcycle. We have seen this on the R1150RT, the 2002+ K1200RS, and the 2002+ K1200LT. The bike’s computer thinks that the tail light bulb is out when this module is installed, and that is the reason for the indicator. The BackOFF module can be installed on these bikes with a BackOFF license frame without problems. Just install the module on the red (brake) wire of the license frame only, without cutting the brake line in the bike. When installed in this manner, the factory brake light will be solid as usual, and the brake lights on the BackOFF license frame will flash.
