Will the Batman movie “The Dark Knight” be delayed due to the death of Heath Ledger?
The movie is in post production and final editing now. All of Ledger’s scenes have been completed. Here is an extract from IMDB about his creation of the character: The Joker’s character is based on his first two appearances in the comic books, as well as his portrayal in the graphic novel “The Killing Joke.” To prepare for the role, Heath Ledger lived alone in a hotel room for a month researching the character and developing his performance, which he claims is based upon Sid Vicious and the character of Alex in A Clockwork Orange (1971). Ledger found the role extremely difficult, and suffered insomnia as a result. The drug found near him was stillnox, a sleep aid that has been known to cause accidental overdoses before. As far as suggesting that his family should decide if The Dark Knight should be released: That is an absurd suggestion and if your logic was applied then we would not have seen Gladiator, Harry Potter or the Crow as they all lost stars during filming or in post product
