Will the EZLN address each and every one of the invitations from civil society, from social organizations, from NGOs and other groups who want to meet with the zapatistas?
The zapatista delegation will answer invitations from civil society as far as possible. The time necessary for covering the route makes it impossible, unfortunately, to respond affirmatively to all the invitations. When we reject an invitation, we’re not doing so because of a lack of interest, a lack of courtesy, or because we don’t consider it important to attend to it, but because we have limited time and an agenda to meet. In passing, let me say that there are, in the Zapatista Information Center, hundreds of invitations from the twelve states through which we’ll be passing and from the Federal District.
