Will the messages I have saved on the current faculty and staff email server be migrated to the new Zimbra server?

Yes. For most users, the mail you have left on the current email server will be migrated to the Zimbra server for you. Migrated messages will have the same status, such as read or unread, on the new server that they have on the existing server. For some users, stored mail will not be migrated as these users have configured their email accounts to transfer messages from the server to a local client using an email protocol know as POP. For these POP users, migrating the stored messages to the new server would cause them to be delivered to the local client again as new messages. We will be providing information to help all email users ensure that their existing mail remains available throughout our transition to the new system.
