Will Tizanidine help control or reduce dystonia?
Medications we commonly use to control the symptoms of dystonia are Klonipin and Artane. Tizanidine may be reasonable to try as well. Obviously, an examining physician must decide what is best to try for each patient’s individual condition. We also use zinc acetate or at times trientine in preference to penicillamine due to the risk of making neurologic disease worse on penicillamine.
