Will Tropical Storm Fay Become Hurricane Fay? Saturday August 16, 2008 Image NOAA – Prior FL Hurricane Image Forecasters are predicting that Tropical Storm Fay has the ability to turn into a Category 1 hurricane after it moves through Cuba this weekend. If this happens, South Florida, especially the Florida Keys are in danger of being hit with a hurricane early next week. Other projected tracks have Fay coming up Florida’s West coast.
