Will Webber’s BioEnergy plug my oil burner filter, strainer and nozzle?
The biofuel component in BioHeat blends is essentially a solvent, and therefore has a tendency to dissolve or loosen some sediment that has rested in tanks from years of conventional heating oil use. The degree of this is dependent on the blend concentration, in the BioHeat product. It’s unlikely that Webber BioEnergy would prematurely plug an oil burner filter, strainer or nozzle at the 5% biodiesel blend ratio, especially since BioHeat tests in blend levels up to 20% did not show any premature filter plugging.
