With so many unwanted stray animals, why don’t people in Mexico spay and neuter their pets?
People all over the world love their pets and want to provide and care for them. Many people cannot afford all the costs associated with doing so. The cost of spaying a dog is anywhere from $100 – $350 USD. For many working people in Mexico this equals a week’s salary. Another significant contributing factor is the lack of awareness of the need to spay/neuter cats and dogs. It is vital to educate the children about how to properly care for their pets to ensure a long term solution to the stray cat and dog overpopulation problem.
