With the current media/public opinion, should i pursue my career ambition?
I’m not a Social worker – I’m a Counsellor – but both professions require something from within. You will never, as a Social Worker, please all the people all of the time. What matters is your motive for taking an action, and communicating with your superiors. We will always need Social Workers, but it will never be a vocation which makes you popular with the public. If this doesn’t matter to you, then you’re on the right track. Social Workers were never meant to be popular. and it shouldn’t matter. Look to what’s within your heart to know if this is the right career for you. That’s all you need. Good luck!
