With the economic downturn, how is the wedding industry weathering the storm?
TH: There were 2.3 million weddings in the U.S. in 2008 and there will be 2.3 million weddings again in 2009. While people may be spending less on their weddings, they still need a photographer, caterer, DJ or band, etc. Since they are pinching their pennies more than in the past, they are being more careful with their research. That is where we can help. ITA: What are the biggest challenges you face as an Illinois-based IT company? TH: As there wasn’t a plethora of high-quality developers as I would have hoped, it took longer to find the right team. Further, we had to rely on outsourcing for longer than I would have liked. We now have an awesome team and are excited about where the technology is headed! ITA: How does having a Midwestern location help you in the IT industry as a whole? TH: I love the network in Chicago.
