Wooden Furniture Repair
It is very important to choose a right company for furniture repair because furniture greatly influences the look and appearance of a place. Also, the company should be reputed and have a good and experienced staff who could repair the damage in a way so that it gives a longer life to the furniture.
Ask neighbors, or craftsmen in your area for a recommendation. Upholsterers and cabinet makers often offer furniture repair as a sideline. If your furniture repair is simple, any talented carpenter can probably do an adequate job. For antiques or valuable pieces, check with a local used furniture shop, or antique store to get a recommendation.
Craigslist is often a good source of craftsmen as well. Ask these three questions, and listen for confidence and knowledge 1. How would you conduct this repair. (expect a fairly detailed explanation) 2. How long have you been working in this industry (if the answer is less than five years in carpentry or related work, pass) 3. Can you show pictures of two recent jobs, and give me at least one recent reference. (if the answer is no to either, pass)
