Would a one world currency help or hurt our economy?
It could hurt and help. Since for the last while the dollar has fallen in value people in other countries have been traveling to the US for vacations (because they can get more for their money) which really helped us out. When the Dollar was really high though people were traveling out of the country more spending their money in other countries which kind of hurt us. If we go to a global currency, none of that would take place. Though it would make traveling much easier. As far as a straight up help or hurt, you can never tell for sure because it will always fluctuate.
