Would a themed dinner party be a good idea?
You could pull off a Greek theme quite easily…in fact, drop the hint you’re having a Greek trivia quiz filled with Greek mythology and Roman traditions… and this will give your guests something to do and laugh about before dinner. They can dress in anything from a simple toga, to something more . . .a Roman slave, or a figure of Greek mythology (Zeus, Apollo, Athena, Hercules, Helen of Troy, etc.). Decorate your party location primarily in white and gold. Use gold spray paint to cover anything that isn’t breathing or living for a very dramatic effect! Grapevines, oil-burning lamps, and ivy vine garland will add an instant Greek feel to the room! Make several laurel-leaf crowns and spray them with gold paint. Wear one for the evening to complement your outfit, and make several more to use in your decorating. Use them on buffet tables, and among candles as a centerpiece. If you are feeling adventurous, make enough for all your guests as an authentic favor! Think mood lighting – candl
