Would an askville gift exchange-forewarding service thru Amazon be a good idea ?
If someone has an active Amazon account Askville could give that user the option of providing a link on their Askville profile page that goes to that person’s Amazon page. That way if someone wanted to send Askviller A a book then they could follow the link to A’s Amazon profile, see their wish list and place an order. Anyone who has an Amazon profile and has ordered books can already receive gifts this way without the sender having to know or even see the recipient’s address. You just click on something from the person’s wish list and if they have an address on file Amazon sends the gift right along to them with your compliments. Askville might take this idea a step farther in the future but I think that the profile link would be a good place to start.
