Would anyone care to share their favorite recipes for chicken , tuna, or egg salad?
The ingredients I use to change things for myself are: different curries, dill, nuts, raisins, apples, dried cranberries, cinnamon, and bean sprouts sometimes instead of lettuce. If you like any of these ingredients than all you have to do is add one of them to make a BIG change to any of your existing chicken, tuna, or egg salads. I also change out my breads and crackers to make a change in my lunches. Try English muffins, croissants, bagels, and dark dense breads like pumpernickel. I like the spice dill mixed with yellow curry powder in almost any of these salads to make a savory change. Crisp tart apples, with a dash of cinnamon and a few raisins go well with a cold chicken salad. And don’t forget the walnuts for extra crunch! Sometimes it is not the food that gets boring as much as our routine doesn’t change with the seasons.
