Would it be possible to have reconstructive surgery for flail chest?

A flail chest is when you have several ribs broke at two places. If you ever had a true flail segment you would have been to hospital due to the fact that without some good care you rapidly lose the abililty to breath due to the instability of the chest wall. It is possible that you broke some ribs, however and due to some godly strength you never were cared for the 4 months it hurt to take a breath. You’d have to see a MD to determine the best way to fix it. The bone will most likely have healed and rejoined where it broke, the popping is likely due to the muscles and tendons being out of place due to their connecting rib being out of place. This is just a guess however. As to fixing it, if the bone is out of place it would have to be rebroke, reset and re healed. I dunno if you’ll get a MD to do that if there are no breathing difficulties.
