Would Lupercalia be categorized under Roman superstitions?

Depends. To get all personal and unprofessional, I get all grumpy and snappy when someone suggests any spiritual reality is a myth. Very often, I also get all snappy and grumpy when someone suggests reality is a good thing. People do use words loosely. Lupercalia was a Roman Festival (for this time of year so happy Lupercalia, Roman) and as such part of the Roman state religion. It was as official as President’s Day. Christians tend to dismiss all pagan survivals as untrue so you can probably get away with it, and you aren’t likely to run into very many of us who’d be offended on the street. Hey, maybe you can even get away with explaining why it’s not a superstition.
