Would the XTIANS be worshipping ROMAN Gods if emperor Constantine had not embraced Christianity??

0

Hello, 1) Constantine got help from the Christians in his civil war with Maxinius. 2) He legalized Christianity in the Edict Of Milan. 3) He wanted some uniformity around the Empire and realized Christians could be a big political force in Rome. That’s why he held the Council of Nicea so all the different Christian churches and factions could hammer out some coherency among their differing beliefs and all get on the same page together, hence the Nicean Creed. 4) Constantine did not personally embrace Christianity until his death bed. 5) A few other pagan emperors came along like Julian, the Apostate afterwards. The Roman gods did not seem to fufill the spiritual needs of the Romans as well as God and Jesus could.
