the question is biased...you say "beautifully restored" when referring to antiques, but only "brand new" when talking about modern furniture. That gives everyone an image of all the intricate, delicately carved marble top furniture that would have cost a small fortune just to own back in its day, when actually most antique furniture is simply "handmade stuff" that may not even be functional in today's home/lifestyle. Antiques are overrated bigtime, and besides, they smell like musky old man cologne.  more
