Wusage created many wuagexxx.xx temporary folders in my c:winnt folder, is there anyway to set the temp folder to c: emp or auto remove the temporary folder in c:winnt?
Wusage should automatically delete its temporary directories but we do occasionally get reports to the contrary. So far all reports do say that the directories are, at least, empty. Wusage tries pretty hard to figure out where your temporary files ought to go! Here’s what it looks for: 1. Any of the TMP, TMPDIR, tmp, tmpdir, TEMP, TEMPDIR, temp, or tempdir environment variables (upper and lower case accepted). If any of these are set it will use the directory indicated. 2. C:\WINDOWS\TEMP, if it exists. 3. If none of the above work, the result of the WIN32 GetTempPath function provided by Microsoft. This function tends to make lousy suggestions like the location you’re seeing, so we don’t use it except as a last resort. Your simplest solution is to create C:\WINDOWS\TEMP.
