A. Unless you still have a trusty 486 or something 🙂 2xExplorer should be quick to both launch and exit. If you notice any sluggishness at startup, and especially during the “shutdown” of the program, this may be an indication that the registry information key is corrupted. This likelihood is a near-certainty if the problem appears after you’ve played around with toolbars, docking them in various places and generally moving them around a lot. The easiest fix is to run the registry editor regedit.exe and delete the whole “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZabaraKatranemia Plc\2xExplorer” key and run the program again. However, if you are confident with editing the registry you needn’t discard all your favourite options just to fix this problem. It will suffice to delete all the “MainFrame Settings-*.*” subkeys (where *.* stands for Bar0, Bar1,… and Summary). Then order should return. I can’t really tell if this is a bug with 2xExplorer or with MFC itself, but it is quite rare anyway. Q12.
