Sorry to be so candid, but the problem with the lg is that the error correction system has gone afoul and it is not able to track the disk and keep the errors down and correct them sufficiently. It could be because the laser diode has gone weak, the alignment of the optical assembly has gone astray or the digital decoder has become weak. In any event, the repair cost, even if you do it by yourself, is more than the cost of a new cd player ($9.99 and up). We normally think of cd players a throw away products now days……. sad to say.
