No. While BREW Midwest recognizes the fact that beagles are a scent hound and have been used for hunting throughout the years, BREW Midwest main focus is rehoming beagles as companion animals only and are to be considered part of the family.

15 years ago when we started this rescue I would have said that there were no health issues specific to the Beagle that are any more or less common than with any breed. I cannot say that anymore. While the Beagles is still generally a healthy breed

Well...lets say that they are single minded...or focused. When choosing any breed, you need to consider how that dogs breeding might effect its behavior. Beagles are often referred to as stubborn and it is true that they are not always obedient.
