Beaded appearance is used to describe the appearance of Mycobacteria when the cell doesnt stain uniformly, showing stained and unstained regions. These forms are common in Mycobacterium tuberculosis while Mycobacterium bovis stains uniformly. Most saprophytic Mycobacteria stain uniformly.
