Can an Intel gma x3100 graphics card run Doom 3?

It has been said with that graphics card that Doom 3 is unplayable. At certain points during the demo it ran smoothly, but the instant the environment got even the slightest bit complex, the frame rate took a heinous nosedive. ChaCha again soon!
