In addition to FedEx’s normal business contingency plans, the Year 2000 Project Office has defined processes and developed timelines and templates for creating Year 2000-specific contingency plans. The Project Office also assists business divisions in identifying business-critical processes, and the systems and suppliers/affiliates associated with each process. The Project Office further assists the divisions in conducting risk assessments to determine which systems/components require a contingency plan. FedEx’s approach and state of readiness is discussed in further detail in the “Securities and Exchange Commission 10Q Report” section of this document.
