Why are there different types of heating systems – for timber floors and concrete floors?
Our systems have been tested to the European standard IEC335/EN60335, it is recommended that no higher than 100W/m2 should be installed on a timber floor, and as a safety precaution, we adhere to this instruction. Concrete absorbs heat at a higher rate than timber. Therefore we developed the HeatBord system, with an output from 45W/m2, for timber floors and cables and mats with an output of 120 to 200W/m2 for concrete floors.
