  1. The 2008 movie Iron Man stars Robert Downey Jr as millionaire/inventor Tony Stark creates the first robotic armor while imprisoned in a terrorist camp in the Middle East. His assistant, Pepper Potts played by Gwyneth Paltrow, is one of the only allies he has. In Starks absence his business partner, Obadiah Stane, played by Jeff Bridges, has done everything in his power to keep Stark out of the decision process and sells weapons to terrorists. Tony improves on his suit design when he discovers the deception and becomes an unlikely superhero. Iron Man was nominated for two Oscars and many other awards.

Iron Man is hugely entertaining with its irreverent humor and action sequences. Special Effects are mind blowing with intense pyrotechnics and computer generated sequences gives a rip-roaring ride and edge of your seat excitement. Sexual tension between Pepper and Tony is well portrayed and leaves you wanting to see more. Robert Downey Jr. makes an unlikely hero that is entirely likeable. Tony Stark begins the movie as a spoiled rich guy who gets everything he wants and can do anything. When Tony is put in a life or death situation he proves that he is cool under pressure and his genius knows no bounds.  Jeff Bridges makes an entirely despicable villain filled with corporate greed and lack of empathy. His greed knows no bounds as he tries to steal Tony’s power source, the only thing keeping him alive, from his chest to power his mechanical monster. Luckily Tony still has his original generator to fight his second in command. After an intense battle of mechanical suits Pepper saves the day, proving she isn’t just another pretty face.
