1. You don’t have to give up the flavor in order to bake a healthy cookie.

    What you do is, replace unhealthy ingredients like sugar, and candy pieces with wholesome ingredients such as honey, whole wheat flour, oats and raisins. With this recipe, you can have guilt free cookies that are easy to bake. Best of all, these cookies taste yummy!

    Cooking time: 15-20 minutes

    Serves: 2 dozen ( according to size)


    1 cup whole wheat flour

    1 1/2 cups oats

    1/2 teaspoon baking soda

    1/2 teaspoon baking powder

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    3 tablespoons cinnamon

    1/2 teaspoon allspice

    1/2 cup honey

    1/4 cup olive oil

    1/4 cup applesauce

    1 tablespoon molasses

    1 large egg

    1 teaspoon vanilla

    1/2 cup raisins

    1/2 cup walnuts


    1. Combine all dry ingredients in a large size bowl, stir well.

    2. Combine all wet ingredients in a medium size bow, stir well.

    3. Mix both mixtures together in the large bowl.

    4. Add the raisins and walnuts into the batter.

    5. Refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes.

    6. Preheat oven to 335 degrees.

    7. Drop by spoonfuls onto parchment paper on a baking sheet.

    8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown on the bottoms.
