  1. You don’t have to be a expert Italian cook to prepare a mouth watering plate of homemade pasta. In fact, spaghetti with meat sauce is one of the easiest dishes to prepare. Start with a good name pasta, no off brands, because most tend to be more dry or more limp. Second, use a good name sauce, for example Prego. Follow up with some lean ground beef, and you are ready to begin. Boil the pasta according to the time on the package to avoid under or over cooked the pasta. While your pasta is boiling start browning the ground beef. Serve the pasta with grated cheddar, colby or Parmesan cheese.

COOKING TIME: according to package ( usually around 8-10 minutes)

    SERVES: 6-8

    1 pound spaghetti

1 pound of lean ground beef

1 medium size jar of Prego traditional sauce

    2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

    1. Boil spaghetti according to package, drain into a colander, add then back into the pan.

    2. While the spaghetti is cooking, brown the ground beef in a skillet, stirring with a fork. Drain.

    3. Add the sauce to the beef after it is cooked through.

    4. Pour the sauce mixture over the drained pasta.

    5. Stir to distribute the sauce through the pasta.

    6. Top with the cheese of your choice.
